We are delighted to announce that we are embarking on an exciting new chapter in the history of SSRC by creating a forever home at 11350 E. Old Vail Road. We are under contract to purchase this property and establish a permanent location, which will help not only for our participants, volunteers, staff, and community members, but also our wonderful herd of lesson, rescue, and boarded horses.

Since 2017, SSRC has been committed to making horses and riding more accessible to the public by eliminating the barriers - financial, physical, mental, and discriminatory - that prevent many people from experiencing the benefits of horseback riding. Since opening, SSRC has served more than 200 riders and rescued 12 horses.
By contributing a gift you not only secure the future of SSRC's participants and horses, you generate change to:
- Expand programming: offer hippotherapy (not currently being offered in Tucson); host low-cost schooling shows and clinics; hire additional instructors, working student, and interns
- Expand the scholarship program to not only fund riders who take lessons at SSRC, but to benefit riders throughout the area who ride at other barns and need financial assistance
- Serve more riders: low income, LGBTQ, BIPOC, Dreamers, foster youth
- Rescue more horses
- Make facility improvements for our horse's wellbeing, rider safety and enjoyment, and ADA accessibility
