SSRC Is For Everyone

SSRC's numerous and varied programs and services ensure that we are helping as many people as possible throughout southern Arizona. What makes SSRC unique and who do our programs help?

  • We have a large herd of 11 school horses from safe beginner and adaptive horses to horses who jump 2'6, are trained in dressage, and can compete at shows. This means that not only can we provide lessons to riders of many different skill levels, but our riders can advance in our program without the financial investment of leasing or purchasing a horse.
  • Instructors are PATH-certifed and experienced in teaching high-level hunter/jumper and dressage, which allows us to offer safe, effective lessons for riders of all abilities.
  • Our financial assistance program offers aid to a variety of different families who are in need of our services but are unable to afford the full cost of riding lessons. This program includes free events, long or short term reduction in fees, and working student opportunities.
  • We participate in local hunter/jumper and dressage shows, so riders who have an interest in competing can pursue their interest. Additionally, SSRC has worked with Freedom Run Horse Shows to include adaptive classes at local shows to provide riders with disabilities an opportunity to compete.
  • Our inclusive, supportive, caring, and diverse community of riders, volunteers, and staff welcomes everyone and helps each rider achieve their goals. Whether riders are new to horses, fearful, experienced, or ambitious, there's a place for everyone at SSRC!

We’re so grateful to be able to do the work we do and to help both people and horses in the Tucson community. These amazing services are only possible with donor assistance. Will you make a gift today?

Your gift makes a difference. Donations from our 2024 summer campaign allowed us to purchase Olaf!
